Can I Use a Regular Spray Bottle for Olive Oil

Has anyone tried using a plastic spray bottle instead? The kind that costs around $2 and has an adjustable nozzle from stream to mist?

YES!! I utilise a pint size spray bottle, Simply!! You have to add h2o to the oil to make it spray right. Say, 1/2 cup olive oil with i/4 cup water. Yes!! I use a pint size spray bottle, BUT!! Y'all accept to add together water to the oil to arrive spray right. Say, one/2 cup olive oil with 1/4 cup h2o. The problem is viscosity. Due to the thickness of oils, they will not work well in a spray bottle and the spray nozzle will exist chock-full from the become go. H. The Misto paid for itself after the equivalent of about three cans of cheap pan spray and there is no silicon (a content of most commercial sprays) to worry most.

I actually just tried to practice that and totally messed up my bottle. It won't mist, it simply streams out. Now I'k on hither looking for something that works with oil.

That is what I do now. A half/half mix of oil and water in a glass spray bottle. It works pretty well, but doesn't quite requite the oil coating I need for some cooking.

I recall a plastic spray bottle would clog very easily. Plus, the plastic would leach into the oil and beginning to break downwardly. I think a lot of people use these things around estrus. I like that at least office of it wasn't made in China...

I accept not tried that kind of spray bottle for oil. I use it for spraying h2o but they don't final very long. I accept used the plastic oil spray bottles before and didn't like them because they clog upward when the oil gets common cold.

Not really, my husband uses a sprits blazon bottle to put oil in his hair. I never tried it for olive oil but I imagine itd work. The problem is u'd take less control over where the oil goes and how evenly information technology is distributed than with an aerosol can.

No, I have not tried plastic. I would think if you use this...and oil gets on the bottle...it would become slippery and not easy to use.
